Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology
The aim of this program is to train the qualified workforce needed by the Electric and Hybrid Vehicles sector, equipped with the technological knowledge of today. Graduates of the program will receive an Associate Degree and earn the title of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Technician. Program graduates can be employed in both the public and private sectors, including automotive factories that produce Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, facilities manufacturing automotive sub-industry components, and Electric and Hybrid Vehicle maintenance and repair services. In this program, students learn the service, fault diagnosis, and repair procedures of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), and battery electric vehicles (BEV). In workshop studies, theoretical and practical training on high-voltage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided. In laboratory sessions, students receive hands-on training on fundamental electrical concepts, identification of electronic components, control and operation of electric motors, and measurement techniques.
