The foundations of Uludağ University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Histology and Embryology were laid by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydın Evren, who came to Bursa with a temporary duty from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Histology and Embryology between 1978 and 1982 during the establishment of our faculty. Since 1982, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aytekin Özer has been appointed to the staff of our department and started his studies at Karapınar Campus. From this date, the necessary machinery and equipment were provided and a routine light microscope laboratory was established. Our department moved to Görükle Campus with our faculty in 1993. He still continues his education and research here. Today, as a result of the contributions of the academic staff participating in the department and scientific developments; Histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, immunofluoresan, Western Blot, Cell and tissue culture laboratories were established. In our department, 3 Professors, 1 Associate Professor 2 Dr. Assist. There are 6 faculty members. In our department, PhD and Master's degrees are provided.
