Quality Commission

Academic and administrative units of the University establish Unit Quality Commissions responsible for quality assurance activities within their respective units. The senior administrator of each unit serves as the Quality Representative.
 
In academic units, the Unit Quality Commission is established under the chairmanship of the senior administrator and consists of department/division heads, the unit secretary, at least one faculty member responsible for data compilation, and a student representative.
 
Duties and Principles of the Quality Commission:
  1. Unit Quality Commissions convene at least twice during each academic year and additionally upon the call of the senior administrator.
  2. Academic Unit Quality Commissions work in close cooperation with the Academic Performance Evaluation Commission and submit the Unit Performance Internal Evaluation Report to this commission.
  3. Administrative Unit Quality Commissions operate within the coordination framework provided by the Quality Coordination Office and submit their reports accordingly.
  4. To conduct internal evaluation activities in accordance with procedures determined by the Quality Commission and prepare the Unit Performance Internal Evaluation Report based on information received from academic programs and departments.
  5. To carry out activities aimed at evaluating academic and administrative services, improving quality, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting institutional success in national and international ranking processes in line with institutional strategic plans.
  6. To make necessary preparations for external evaluation processes and provide support to external evaluation institutions or committees.
  7. To announce Quality Commission decisions to relevant programs and departments, monitor implementation, and evaluate outcomes.
  8. To contribute to Bursa Uludağ University Performance Evaluation Reports and other reports prepared for the Higher Education Quality Council.
