Faculty members of the Department of Medical Genetics and the Department of Translational Medicine at Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine, along with students from the Department of Translational Medicine, participated in the 3rd National HematoOnkoGenetics Congress, organized by the Turkish Medical Genetics Association in Antalya between 27–30 November 2025.

During the congress, Prof. Dr. Şehime G. Temel, a faculty member of the Department of Medical Genetics and the Department of Translational Medicine, served as a session chair in the Selected Oral Presentations session.

The team consisting of Ece Özdemir, a student of the Translational Medicine Integrated PhD Program; Specialist Nurdeniz Nalbant, a student of the Translational Medicine PhD Program; Dr. Ece Tolgay, a graduate of Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine who is currently working as a physician; and Prof. Dr. Elif Ülker Akyıldız, a faculty member of the Department of Medical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, presented their study entitled “Investigation of CAPN5 and CAPN13 Expressions in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)”, which represents the outcome of their project awarded third place in the TEKNOFEST 2025 3T in Oncology Competition, and were deemed worthy of the Oral Presentation Award at the congress.
