Bursa Uludağ University celebrated No Elevators Day of ISCA on May 28, 2021

As part of Sustainable  Campus Project studies of Bursa Uludağ University, rectorship, staff, students, department representatives, managers, deans, and academicians joined the No Elevators Day, which was celebrated on May 28, 2021. This initiative of the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) as part of the NOWWEMOVE campaign is well regarded by university members and received much attention. According to the questionnaire filled by the attendants, 188 people from the university showed interest in the event.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz invited the university members to start not using elevators and move instead starting from this day. Students, staff, and academicians showed high interest; some underlined the importance of being active for a healthy life while the others focused on using less electrical energy and more body energy by not using elevators. BUU Sustainable Campus Project aims to raise awareness for sustainable development and considers the campaigns by ISWA as effective and joyful tools towards this aim.
