The Department of Psychology admits graduate students once a year. The primary language of instruction is Turkish; however, students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in both Turkish and English, as a portion of the study materials is in English. Each year, detailed information on application deadlines and requirements is published on the website of the Institute of Social Sciences: https://www.uludag.edu.tr/sosyalbilimler.
A limited number of international students may also join our undergraduate and graduate programs through the Türkiye Scholarships program. For further details, please visit: https://ytb.gov.tr/en/departments/international-students.
The department offers graduate programs in General Psychology at both the master’s and doctoral levels. Comprehensive information regarding the doctoral program curriculum is available at:
Master: https://bilgipaketi.uludag.edu.tr/Programlar/DetayENG/790?AyID=32
Doctorate: https://bilgipaketi.uludag.edu.tr/Programlar/Detay/1390?AyID=32
The curriculum places a particular emphasis on social psychology and experimental/cognitive psychology. Students admitted to the doctoral program who lack sufficient background in these areas or in research methods, as determined by an evaluation of their academic transcripts, are required to complete a one-year scientific preparatory program.
Please note that the department does not offer graduate-level training in clinical psychology. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded a diploma in General Psychology.
