The Bursa Flüt Topluluğu, which continues its activities through the collaboration between the Department of Music Education, Division of Fine Arts Education, Faculty of Education, Bursa Uludağ University and Bursa Zeki Müren Fine Arts High School, came together with art enthusiasts through a successful concert performance. The event, held at the Conference Hall of Bursa Zeki Müren Fine Arts High School, was attended by students, teachers, parents, and music lovers.

At the opening of the concert, Sıla Yıldız, one of the ensemble members and a graduate of Bursa Zeki Müren Fine Arts High School who is currently continuing her studies at Bursa Uludağ University, delivered a speech. Yıldız stated that performing once again on the stage of the school she graduated from held a special meaning for her and expressed her happiness at being part of this artistic collaboration established between high school and university education.

Information about the foundation process and objectives of the Bursa Flute Ensemble was also shared during the event. Established in 2025 under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajda Şenol Sakin, faculty member of the Department of Music Education, Division of Fine Arts Education, Faculty of Education at Bursa Uludağ University, and Esin Filiz, flute instructor at Bursa Zeki Müren Fine Arts High School, the ensemble aims to bring together flute students at both high school and university levels within a shared educational and artistic production process while creating a sustainable artistic collaboration between secondary and higher education institutions.

The ensemble, whose conducting and coordination processes are jointly carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajda Şenol Sakin and Esin Filiz, supports students’ individual instrumental development through regular rehearsals while also contributing to their stage experience.

Established in response to the need for an institutional flute ensemble structure in Bursa, the Bursa Flute Ensemble aims to contribute to the city’s cultural and artistic life through an education-oriented understanding of art.

The concert program featured a wide-ranging repertoire extending from classical music and ballet music to folk melodies and musical theatre selections. The audience followed with great interest works ranging from Antonio Vivaldi’s Autumn and Ludwig van Beethoven’s 12 German Dances to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Ballet Music and Claude Debussy’s Le Petit Nègre. The program also included the anonymous folk song Darıldın mı Cicim Bana and Sunrise, Sunset from Jerry Bock’s musical Fiddler on the Roof.

Soprano Gülneva Karatellik, baritone Semih Kaya, pianist Yağız Gümüş, and double bassist Peren Kaynakçıoğlu accompanied the concert program. The concert was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajda Şenol Sakin.
