“Yalçın Tura Special Award” for Bursa Uludağ University Department of Music Education Choir at SANSEV
The Choir of the Department of Music Education within the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education at Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi returned with a significant award from the 11th SANSEV Istanbul International Polyphonic Choir Festival, in which it participated under the direction of Lecturer Zeynep Göknur Yıldız.
The choir performed at the festival held on May 7–8–9–10, 2026, at the Maltepe Türkan Saylan Cultural Center in Istanbul. With its outstanding performance, the choir earned the appreciation of the jury members and was honored with the “Yalçın Tura Special Award.”
Bringing together numerous choirs from various universities and institutions across Türkiye, the festival highlighted the Bursa Uludağ University Department of Music Education Choir for its musical interpretation, stage discipline, and achievements in polyphonic music.
Head of the Department of Music Education Hatice Onuray Eğilmez thanked Lecturer Zeynep Göknur Yıldız for her dedicated efforts and congratulated all the students who successfully represented the university at the festival.
