Narrated Liszt Recital Held

The “Narrated Liszt Recital,” organized by our University’s Department of Music Education, brought together art enthusiasts through the narration and performance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Gökçe Türkili. Held at the Music Education Department Concert Hall, the event offered a comprehensive exploration of the life and musical legacy of one of the most prominent composers of the Romantic era, Franz Liszt.

Throughout the recital, the audience had the opportunity to gain insight into Liszt’s multifaceted artistic life—from his childhood years to his virtuoso career across Europe, and from his compositional approach to the innovations he brought to the piano repertoire. Shaped by the narration of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türkili, the program presented the historical and aesthetic context of the composer’s works, enriched by the performance of selected piano pieces.

Participants experienced an evening that was both informative and artistically fulfilling, while closely engaging with the technical brilliance and expressive depth Liszt introduced to Romantic music. The recital format, combining narration and performance, was met with great interest and appreciation by the audience.

At the end of the event, the Head of the Department of Music Education, Prof. Dr. Hatice Onuray Eğilmez, expressed her gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Gökçe Türkili for this special recital program that also shed light on music history. We also extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Şirin Akbulut Demirci and Dr. Hatice Çeliktaş for their valuable contributions to the organization of this special program.
