Business – Academia Meetings: “R&D, Innovation and Sustainability Solutions” Panel Held with Great Interest

Another event in the “Business – Academia Meetings” series, organized by the Department of Economics at Bursa Uludağ University, was held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Central Library Conference Hall. Our students showed great interest in the panel.

The event began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Cem Okan Tuncel, and the session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ozan Başkol. The panel featured distinguished guests including Serdar Şahin, Director of the R&D Center of ÜÇGE Group Companies, and Halit Yılmaz, Director of Management Systems at ÜÇGE Group Companies. The speakers shared valuable insights on various topics, ranging from R&D processes to sustainability strategies, engaging with students in an interactive atmosphere. The panel was especially beneficial for senior undergraduate students, offering them an opportunity to learn about current industry practices.

Our department will continue to organize such events aligned with sustainable development goals, aiming to prepare students for the business world and contribute to society through impactful academic activities.
