Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Education celebrated 24 November Teachers’ Day with a meaningful program attended by faculty members, students, and guests.
The Faculty marked Teachers’ Day with a special event organized in the Uğur Mumcu Hall, aiming to highlight the societal importance of the teaching profession and to foster professional awareness among prospective teachers.
The program began with a Moment of Silence followed by the National Anthem. The opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Salih Çepni, Dean of the Faculty of Education. In his address, Çepni emphasized the historical and social significance of the teaching profession, drew attention to the responsibilities of becoming a qualified educator, and extended his best wishes to all teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
As part of the event, students from the Department of Turkish Education presented a poetry recital coordinated by Prof. Dr. Kelime Erdal and Lecturer Zeynep Göknur Yıldız. This was followed by a musical performance by a choir of students from the Department of Music Education, featuring the Teachers’ Anthem along with a selection of distinguished pieces.
The celebration program at the Faculty of Education was warmly received by students and academics alike, providing a meaningful gathering that underscored the value of the teaching profession.
