The Dean Prof. Selim Gürel, who expressed his determination to provide the best quality service and that University Hospital has been very important health care service in Bursa and Southern Marmara Region for 40 years, called on the people of Bursa public and philanthropic industrialists and businessmen to give support.

QUALITY WORKING WILL CONTINUE DILIGENTLY

Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Yakup Canıtez also noted that the Medicine Faculty Hospital is a tertiary health care institution, which means that the health care provided is complex, difficult and costly. Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Yakup Canıtez stated that they have always been updating the infrastructure and technical investments and training the staff to provide this quality in the South Marmara Region where about 5.5 million people live, and he said that the quality and accreditation work carried out in the past periods was successful and said the following about the quality system management in the hospital:

"We have been audited by the SGS company headquartered in Switzerland for the Quality Management System currently being implemented in 2015 and our ISO 9001-2008 certification has been renewed. We have been re-audited in September this year and extended the period of our document. In our hospital in 2017, ISO 9001 will be audited for the ISO 9001-2015 version which makes it more useful and effective in the health field and our studies will continue in this direction. The Health Quality Standards (SKS), which was implemented under the Health Transformation Program and became mandatory for the universities, were reviewed and it was found that the SKS-Version 5 quality management system was compatible with the existing quality management system and even more efficient in some cases and more suitable for health conditions in our country. Our hospital, which has been under the supervision of SKS so far, has been through the first of these inspections in the previous administration time and the second in August 2016. As a result of this last audit, our hospital score increased by 5 points to 84. Since SKS will be compulsory, it was determined that it would not be rational to conduct a quality management system in two different settings at the hospital and we decided that it is not necessary to renew the JCI quality standards document. At the moment, our hospital has been getting fully compatible with SKS version 5. In 2017, audits from two different institutions are planned according to the latest versions. As in previous administrations, we will never compromise on quality, and we will continue to work in determination on this issue. "

Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Yakup Canıtez explained that the technical infrastructure of the institution has been constantly updated in accordance with the patient services and quality standards and in this scope, they have used approx. 8 million TL from the financial sources of the institution for the purchase of the devices and 3 million pounds of clinic-policlinic renovation works with donations.

EMERGENCY RADIOLOGY OPEN 7/24
