MoU Signed with Kazakhstan - Almaty Technological University

In line with its vision to strengthen academic cooperation across Central Asia, Bursa Uludağ University (BUU) has signed a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Almaty Technological University, a well-established higher education institution in Kazakhstan.

Almaty Technological University expressed its interest in nominating students for mobility to BUU. In response, BUU emphasized that such mobility activities are conducted exclusively through formal exchange programs. Within this framework, the Orhun Exchange Program and Erasmus+ KA171 projects were highlighted as the appropriate and official channels for reciprocal academic exchange.

Following BUU’s guidance, ATU officials have decided to initiate the official application process to join the Orhun Exchange Program, in order to nominate students through recognized mobility schemes. This development reflects both the growing institutional interest in structured exchange programs across the Turkic World and the increasing international recognition of BUU.

Beyond student and academic staff mobility, the signed MoU also envisions research collaborations and joint publications in fields of shared academic interest such as textile engineering, food technologies, and business administration. The agreement aims to foster joint projects that will enhance the scientific output of both institutions.
