BUU Participates in the 35th EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Gothenburg

A high-level delegation from Bursa Uludağ University (BUU) took part in the 35th Annual EAIE (European Association for International Education) Conference and Exhibition, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 9 to 12 September 2025.

 

The BUU delegation included Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, Vice Rector for International Affairs Prof. Dr. İrfan Kırıştıoğlu, Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Recep Yücedoğru, as well as Erasmus+ Office staff Dr. Volkan Kahraman and Dr. Damla Eldeleklioğlu Onuk. The team represented the university at one of the most significant gatherings in the field of international higher education.

 

As part of the event, BUU was showcased at the Türkiye Pavilion, organized by the Turkish National Agency and featuring participation from 88 Turkish universities. The pavilion served as a platform to present the university’s international activities and academic strengths to a global audience.

 

During the conference, Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İrfan Kırıştıoğlu, and Erasmus+ Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Recep Yücedoğru held bilateral meetings with rectors from universities in Estonia and Croatia. These meetings led to preliminary agreements to enhance academic cooperation between institutions.

 

Throughout the conference and exhibition, which attracted wide participation, BUU engaged with numerous universities from Europe and beyond. The university successfully expanded the scope of existing partnerships and initiated discussions for new collaborations, marking a significant step forward in its internationalization efforts.

 

With the outcomes of the EAIE 2025 Conference, Bursa Uludağ University aims to further strengthen its international academic partnerships, particularly in the areas of student and staff mobility, and to continue expanding its global academic network.
