Bursa Uludağ University (BUU), one of Türkiye’s designated research universities, continues to stand out with its high-impact academic output and international visibility. Most recently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ömeroğulları Başyiğit, a faculty member at BUÜ’s İnegöl Vocational School of Higher Education (Department of Textile Technology), was awarded the “International Collaboration Award” at the ITMF & IAF Annual Conference 2025 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Her project, titled “Remode,” was selected among more than 90 global entries for its innovative approach and impact potential in the textile and apparel sector. The award was presented as part of the joint conference hosted by the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) and the International Apparel Federation (IAF)—two of the most prestigious global organizations in the field.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başyiğit emphasized that the project’s vision of sustainable transformation aligns closely with BUU’s academic values and contributes meaningfully to the future of the global textile sector. 

“It was a great honor to represent both my country and my university on an international platform of this caliber,” she noted.
