Traditional Pilav Day Celebration at Our Vocational School-2025

Bursa Uludag University Vocational School of Health Services brought together its graduates, students, academic and administrative staff with its traditional annual Pilav Day event.

The 3rd Traditional Pilav Day was held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, on the campus of the School of Health Services. The event began with a moment of silence in memory of the founder of our Republic, the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our cherished martyrs and veterans who have passed away, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

The ceremony was attended by Bursa Uludag University (BUÜ) Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İrfan KIRIŞTIOĞLU, Coordinator of Vocational Schools (MEYOK) Prof. Dr. Çağatan TAŞKIN, Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Director Prof. Dr. Sinan ÇAVUN, academic and administrative staff, graduates, students, and their families.

In the opening speeches, attention was drawn to the significance of the event in strengthening feelings of unity and solidarity, and the importance of maintaining communication and solidarity between graduates and students was emphasized. The growing success of BUU Vocational School of Health Services, both nationally and within the university, was highlighted. Following the speeches, participants were served traditional pilav.

The event provided an opportunity for new students to meet and for graduates to reconnect and share memories. Conversations between graduates and students shared insights into their educational and professional experiences. Graduates from Bursa and its surrounding districts, as well as from other provinces such as Giresun, Izmir, Balıkesir, and Bandırma, attended the event.

The Vocational School of Health Services family concluded the event with joy and enthusiasm. Participants departed with the hope of "Seeing you again every year on the third Sunday of October."
