OUR VOCATIONAL SCHOOL CELEBRATED “WORLD MEDICAL SECRETARIES DAY” ON NOVEMBER 29 WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM...

The “November 29 World Medical Secretaries Day” was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students and academic staff of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Skills (TDS) program at Bursa Uludag University (BUU) Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO). The celebration event was held on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the courtyard of the Vocational School of Health Services.

The program organized at Bursa Uludag University Vocational School of Health Services to mark Medical Secretaries Day was attended by the Director of the Vocational School of Health Services, Prof. Dr. Sinan Çavun, the academic and administrative staff of the Vocational School, students and graduates of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Skills program.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Sinan Çavun emphasized that the medical secretarial profession plays a critical role in the delivery of healthcare services and that medical secretaries perform important duties. He urged students to embrace their profession and understand its importance. In addition, Prof. Dr. Sinem Somunoğlu İkinci, program chair of the TDS program, which prepared the celebration program, thanked the program instructor, Lecturer Fikret Ceylan, and the students. Program Director Prof. Dr. Sinem Somunoğlu İkinci also thanked all the students for their contributions and support in preparing the celebration program. She wished our students a happy World Medical Secretaries Day and a good time.

Following the speeches, a cocktail reception specially prepared by the students of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Skills Program was held. After the cutting of the celebration cake, attended by our Vocational School Director, program chair, program faculty members, and students, participants were served food and drinks prepared by our students using their own resources.

After lively conversations, enjoyable moments, and exciting activities accompanied by music, the celebration ended with group photos.

On this meaningful day, which aimed to increase the professional awareness of TDS program students and highlight the work and contributions of medical secretaries, the culture of solidarity between students and graduates was reinforced once again.
