AFAD and Education and Training Cooperation Meetings Held...

Cooperation efforts have been initiated with the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) to strengthen application-based education and training activities at the Vocational School of Health Services and to increase disaster preparedness capacity. Within this scope, a meeting was held at our School on January 16, 2026, to discuss education, training, and project activities.

During the evaluations, drills that could be conducted specifically for students in the Medical Imaging Techniques (TGT) and First and Emergency Aid (İAY) programs regarding CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) threats and hazards were discussed. And it was agreed that these drills would be conducted during the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.

Furthermore, it was decided that AFAD would provide expert support for CBRN-related courses to strengthen practical and field integration between AFAD and paramedic teams. This collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to disaster and emergency preparedness and enhance students' professional competence.
