A Life-Saving Performance by Our Students: The Play “Can Pazarı” Was Staged

Bursa Uludağ University Vocational School School of Health Services has undertaken a meaningful project aimed at enhancing social contribution. The school brought the play titled “Can Pazarı,” prepared through the collaboration of students enrolled in the “Community Service Awareness” course and volunteers from the “Paramedics and Community Service Society,” to the audience.

Performed on May 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Police Officer İbrahim Akın Hall of the Faculty of Science and Letters, the play presented a vital topic to the audience by blending it with the power of art.

The “Can Pazarı” play highlighted just how precious every second is in cases of sudden cardiac arrest occurring outside of hospital settings. The script meticulously addressed key topics such as the proper and swift activation of the 112 Emergency Call Center, the critical role played by bystanders—referred to as “first responders”—until professional teams arrive, and the importance and widespread adoption of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices. Through the play, the message was conveyed that fostering a culture of first aid awareness in society would significantly increase survival rates.

The event, attended by approximately 130 students enrolled at our Vocational School as well as academic and administrative staff, provided future healthcare professionals with both a professional and a social perspective.
