The book titled "Voice Production and Singing with Body Awareness in Acting," in which Prof. Dr. Ayhan Helvacı—faculty member of the Department of Performing Arts at Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Fine Arts—combines his knowledge, experience, and labor, met its readers in the new year.
The book, whose primary goal is to demonstrate how the integration of voice and body can transform stage performance, distinguishes itself as the first resource book in this specific field of acting education.
The exercises in the book are presented with their objectives, implementation steps, duration, and pedagogical rationale, some of which are supported by visuals. At the core of all these elements lies the belief in a vibrant voice, a conscious body, and an honest expression on stage.
The target audience of the book includes primarily acting students at Conservatories and Faculties of Fine Arts, as well as students receiving vocal training (singing) in the Fine Arts Education departments of Education Faculties, theater instructors, vocal coaches, and all performing artists who wish to deepen the relationship between body and voice on stage.
