Success in TÜBİTAK 3501 Programme from Our University (Dr. Aybike Sarıoğlu Bozkurt)

We congratulate Dr. Aybike Sarıoğlu Bozkurt, faculty member at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Biochemistry, and her project team for their project titled, "Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy via Combination Therapy Targeting Mutant KRAS and 6-Phosphofructo-2-Kinase/Fructose-2,6-Bisphosphatase-3 (PFKFB3) Enzyme in Colorectal Cancer," which has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 3501 – Career Development Program.

The project aims to investigate the antitumor effects of combining a KRAS inhibitor with a PFKFB3-targeted approach in colorectal cancer cells harboring mutant KRAS. The study is intended to contribute to innovative treatment strategies based on the dual targeting of oncogenic signaling and metabolic processes.
