The official launch of the electric utility vehicle, integrated with the modular battery pack developed by the Battery Technologies Research and Development Platform for Electric Vehicles (BATEG), was successfully held with the prominent participation of the university's senior administration. The event was honored by Bursa Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cafer Çiftci and Prof. Dr. Zekeriyya Arı, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Yıldız, and members of the University Senate. The presentation of the vehicle was delivered by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Sevilgen, Head of the Department of Automotive Engineering and Director of BATEG.
Representing a concrete example of university-industry collaboration, the project utilized a utility vehicle donated to the BATEG Laboratory by Pilotcar. To foster academic vision and R&D opportunities, the vehicle—initially supplied without a battery pack, motor, or electronic components—was integrated with the modular battery pack developed in-house at BATEG. The vehicle also features an electric motor supplied by the domestic electric motor manufacturer C Motor Tech. Following a detailed briefing by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Sevilgen on the developed modular battery pack, vehicle integration efforts, and vehicle architecture, Bursa Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz conducted a test drive of the vehicle.
At the conclusion of the event, plaques of appreciation were presented to the representatives of Pilotcar and C Motor Tech for their valuable contributions to this university-industry collaboration.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Bursa Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Yıldız, and the partner companies Pilotcar and C Motor Tech for their continuous support.
