Academics and students of the Tourist Guiding Program at Bursa Uludağ University, Iznik Vocational School,
met with industry representatives at the event and discussed cooperation, internship,
career opportunities, and employment possibilities.
On March 24, 2026, a networking event was organised in line with the decision taken by the BTSO 42nd Professional Committee (Tourism and Travel Agencies) and 45th Professional Committee (Accommodation, Sports and Entertainment Venues).
This event, organised by BTSO, brought together tourism and travel agencies and accommodation businesses to evaluate opportunities for cooperation. Academics and students of the Tourist Guiding Program at Bursa Uludağ University, Iznik Vocational School, participated in the event as invited guests within the scope of Career Days. In addition to members of the BTSO 42nd and 45th Professional Committees, public institutions and professional organisations such as the Republic of Türkiye Bursa Governorship Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Provincial Directorate of Trade, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Tourism and Promotion Branch Directorate, TÜRSAB South Marmara Regional Representation Board, GÜMTOB, BEBKA, and KOSGEB Bursa Provincial Directorate also attended the event.
The organisation, designed in a dynamic format, contributed to the development of business relations and the establishment of new collaborations among participants, while also enabling Tourist Guiding students to meet with industry professionals, obtain detailed information about internships, on-the-job training, and post-graduation employment opportunities, and build networks. During and at the end of the event, students had the opportunity to actively express their opinions and ask questions about topics that interested them.
Program academics, thanks to the event, discussed and initiated protocol opportunities with industry representatives and organisations within the framework of university–industry cooperation between Iznik Vocational School and the sector. Program academics would like to express their gratitude to BTSO management for allocating a special place for them in the event program, to Mr Engin Balta, Chairman of TÜRSAB South Marmara Regional Representation Board and owner of Balentur Agency, for providing student transportation, and to Tourist Guiding Program students for their full participation in the event.
