Technical Field Trip to Vamer Automotive by Students of the IMYO Mechanical Engineering Program
Students from the Mechanical Engineering Program at İnegöl Vocational School organized a technical field trip to Vamer Automotive to observe their theoretical knowledge in practice. As part of this education-focused event, students had the opportunity to examine the production stages of various parts used in the automotive industry firsthand. Our students gained a better understanding of the importance of production according to technical drawings and of measurement and quality control in production. They also had the opportunity to examine and apply the measuring instruments used in production and quality control. Production Line and Production Technologies Examined In the first part of the tour, the company’s production line was visited.

In this area, the students observed the following processes:
• The advanced machine structures and operating principles within the factory were examined.
• Automotive parts being produced were closely observed.
• All production stages and workflows from raw material to the final product were tracked. Practical Applications in the Measurement Laboratory In the second part of the tour, the group moved to the measurement and quality laboratory to understand quality control and precision production processes.

The following activities were carried out in this section:
• CMM measurement technology methods, which are among the leading industrial standards, were examined, and practical measurements were conducted.
• Information was obtained from experts regarding various measurement tools and methodologies.
• Theoretical lessons were reinforced through practical application by conducting testing and measurement exercises on various parts.
• Dimensional measurement methods and geometric measurement applications were performed.

This productive technical field trip not only enabled students to familiarize themselves with current technologies in the industry but also significantly contributed to their preparation for professional life after graduation.
