First-year students from the Mechanical Drafting and Construction program and the Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution program at the İnegöl Vocational School of Bursa Uludağ University, with the participation of Lecturer Erhan KARA and Assistant Professor Seval ERİŞ; on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM in Bursa - Yenişehir district, where “Şişecam Flat Glass (Trakya Cam)” produces flat glass and insulated glass, and “Şişecam Glass Packaging” manufactures glass packaging for beverage companies. First, at the administrative section of the Şişecam Flat Glass factory, which produces flat glass and insulated glass, Cihan ULUKAN, the Human Resources Solutions Partner Manager, provided an informational session in the seminar room regarding the Şişecam company, its factories, production lines, manufactured products, and workplace safety. Following this, the flat glass production line and furnace areas were toured and inspected by Mechanical Engineer Emirhan VATANSEVER.

During the second part of the tour, İdris HATİPOĞLU, Human Resources Partner at the Şişecam Packaging plant, provided an informational session in the seminar room regarding glass packaging plants, production lines, and the products manufactured. At the Şişecam Glass Packaging plant, the production lines were toured, covering the process from raw material intake to bottle production and packaging. In the production line, an inspection and briefing were conducted in the production monitoring room, where raw material preparation and furnace monitoring take place. The technical tour was beneficial for our students in terms of seeing how flat glass and glass packaging are produced and observing the workplace and factory environment.
