REQUIRED CONDITIONS FOR MIDTERM MAKE-UP EXAM REQUEST

MAKE-UP EXAM RIGHTS FOR EXAM CONFLICTS AND ILLNESS:

Make-Up Exam Right Due to Exam Conflict:
Students who are required to take three or more exams in a single day from the same semester (excluding 5/i courses), as well as students whose exams overlap in date and time according to the exam schedule, are eligible for a make-up exam.

Students requesting a make-up exam due to exam conflicts must fill out and sign the Make-Up Exam Request Form and submit it no later than Friday, November 21, 2025, by the end of working hours.
Students unable to attend exams due to health reasons must submit the form within five (5) business days following the end of their excuse period, attaching the exam schedule (for overlapping exams) or medical report (for health issues).
The form and attachments should be emailed to egtogis@uludag.edu.tr or hand-delivered to the document registration office.

Make-Up Exam Right Due to Illness:
Medical reports must be issued by health institutions officially operating as hospitals.
Reports from health centers operating under the labels of health clinic, medical center, health office, or private practice are not accepted.

a. The list of students whose make-up exam requests are accepted will be announced on our Faculty website under the “Announcements” section.
b. Once determined, make-up exam schedules will be published on the web pages of the relevant departments.

Requests for make-up exams outside these specified conditions will not be accepted.

Make-Up Exam Right
Article 30 –

  1. Students who cannot attend midterm exams may be granted a make-up exam right by the relevant board.

  2. A student’s inability to attend an exam due to a documented medical condition verified by a fully equipped medical institution, an official assignment to represent Türkiye, the University, or their academic unit, detention, arrest, or custody, household/work/traffic accidents, or the death or serious, unforeseen illness of a close relative may be considered a valid excuse.

  3. Students who miss an exam for these reasons must submit a written petition with supporting documents to their department within five (5) business days following the end of the excuse period.

  4. Make-up exams must be held no later than the final week of each semester/year. Students who declare a new excuse for the announced make-up exam date will not be granted another make-up exam.

  5. Exam schedule conflicts are considered valid and justified reasons. If a make-up exam is required due to such conflicts, exam dates will be announced by the relevant department/unit.

  6. Except as stated in the fifth paragraph, no make-up exam rights are granted for final exams, resit exams, or additional exams.
