The Opening Ceremony of the Education and Meeting Hall Donated by Our Alumnus Was Held

The Education and Meeting Hall, contributed to the Department of Environmental Engineering at Bursa Uludağ University through the generous support of our esteemed alumnus and Chairman of the Board of Çevre Yapı Arıtma Sistemleri, Mr. Çağlar Özçelikler, was officially inaugurated on April 24, 2025.

The ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cafer Çiftçi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Adem Akpınar, vice deans, and numerous faculty members.
The event commenced with a speech by our Department Head, Prof. Dr. F. Olcay Topaç, who emphasized the significance of alumni maintaining strong ties with their department. Prof. Dr. Topaç highlighted that this contribution was not only a physical support but also a powerful reflection of institutional loyalty.
Following this, our distinguished alumnus Mr. Çağlar Özçelikler delivered a heartfelt speech, sharing the motivation behind his support and his enduring connection to the department.
Subsequently, Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz underscored the importance of university–alumni collaboration in his address, noting that such contributions are valuable examples of institutional development.
After the speeches, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Mr. Çağlar Özçelikler on behalf of our university.
The program concluded with the ceremonial ribbon-cutting of the new hall.
We would like to once again express our heartfelt gratitude to our alumnus, Mr. Çağlar Özçelikler, for his meaningful contribution, which will significantly enhance our department's educational and meeting activities.
