XVII. Turkish International German Studies Congress

 

The XVII. Turkish International German Studies Congress was organized between 14–17 May 2025 in cooperation with the Departments of German Language and Literature as well as Translation and Interpreting (German), and in collaboration with the Turkish Association of German Studies (GERDER), at the Faculty of Letters of Ege University.
At the congress, 116 presentations were delivered by international participants to discuss current developments in the fields of linguistics, literary and cultural studies, as well as German as a Foreign/Second Language (DaF/DaZ), and to strengthen academic cooperation in these disciplines.

From the Faculty of Education at Bursa Uludağ University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arzu Orhan participated with her presentation “Sustainability in German as a Foreign Language Teaching: An Example for a Possible Development of Sustainability in University Teaching.”
Prof. Dr. Anastasia Şenyıldız & Nurseza Keleş also took part with their presentation “Peer Feedback in School Practicum: An Investigation of Digital Comments in the Reflective Reports of Prospective Foreign Language Teachers.”

From the School of Foreign Languages at Bursa Uludağ University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Doğan participated with his presentation “Opportunities through Diversity: Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in Teaching German as a Foreign Language.”
