Symposium of Language and Literature in Ottoman Bursa was held in Ördekli cultural centre in five parts, with the support of Bursa municipality in May 29 – 30 2013.

          

The Sixth Turkish Language; a World Language Symposium, December 4-7 2013

The first “Turkish Language; a World Language” Symposium was held in Başkent University in 2008. The second one was held in Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic Cyprus International University in 2009, the third one in Dokuz Eylül University in 2010, the fourth one in Muğla University 2011 and the fifth one in Pamukkale University in 2012. Uludağ University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature hosted the sixth one in the symposium series in December 4-7 2013 with 168 assertions.

                                                                  

Each Year a Great Turk Symposium: 1/ İsmail Gaspıralı, December 11-12 2014

The first of the Each Year a Great Turk Symposium series, which are held by the collaboration of Turkish Hearths and Uludağ University was held in Uludağ University. Many Turkish and foreigner academics attended the organisation.

Upon the proposal of Institute of Social Sciences Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Academic Senate of Uludağ University agreed the bestow honorary PhD title to Mustafa Abdülcemil Kırımoğlu, the national leader of Crimean Tartars.

Commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy in the 78th year of his death, December 26 2014

Commemoration of Mehmet Akif Ersoy in the 78th year of his death was held in December 26 2014 with the collaboration of our department and Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish Language Teaching. The programme began with the speeches of Professor Alev SINAR UĞURLU, Assoc. Professor Kelime ERDAL and Turkish Language and Literature senior student Ayşe Bengisu AKDAĞ. Twelve students from both departments recited the poetry of Mehmet Akif ERSOY.
