6 ayi askin bir süredir Gazze'de yasayan masum insanlari yok etmeye yönelik vahseti, barisçil yöntemlerle protesto eden üniversite ögrencileri siddete maruz kaliyor.

Columbia Üniversitesi’nden Yale’e, New York Üniversitesi’nden Harvard’a birçok üniversitedeki protestocular üniversitelerinden, Gazze’de ateskes çagrilarini desteklemelerini ve Israil’le baglantili sirketlerle iliskilerini kesmelerini talep ediyor. 

Eylemlerde ögrenciler gözaltina aliniyor, üniversiteler protestolari durdurmak için uzaktan egitime geçiyor.

Üniversite ögrencilerinin gösterdigi barisçil tepkiye karsi gösterilen orantisiz tepkiyi temel insan haklari ve akademik özgürlüge vurulmus bir darbe olarak kabul ediyor,
derin bir üzüntü duyuyor
ve siddetle kiniyoruz.

Over the past six months, university students who have been peacefully protesting the oppression intended to destroy innocent people in Gaza have been subjected to violence. 

Protesters at numerous universities, from Columbia University to Yale and from New York University to Harvard, are requesting their universities’ support for a ceasefire in Gaza and cutting ties with companies linked to Israel.

Amidst the protests, students are detained, and universities switch to distance education in order to put an end to the demonstrations. 

We are profoundly saddened and vehemently condemn the disproportionate response to the peaceful demonstrations by university students, which we regard as a violation of academic freedom and fundamental human rights.
