GENERAL INFORMATION

The school was established in 1986-1987 academic year with the aim of training necessary personnel for the Turkish Industry and is institution providing 2-year education at pre-bachelorate level.

The School has one department as Department of Technical Programs. 19, leading to "Tekniker" diploma, are at present offered: Textile, Automotive, Refrigeration and air conditioning, Meat Industry, Electrics, Machinery, Food Technology, Natural Gas Heating and Sanitary Installation, Agricultiral Tools and Machinery, Computer Technology and Programming, Greenhousing, Milk and Dairy Products,  Industrial Electronics and Industrial Automation, Industrial Moulding, Printing, Chemisty, Casting and Graphic Design.

At the Vocational School, which is with in the scope of Higher Educational Council-World Bank Education Project-II, the work for the establisment of laboratories of Machinery, Electrics, Industrial Electronics, Food Technology, Industrial Automation, Agriculrural Tools and Machinery, Textile, Computer Technologies and Programming, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Programs has been complieted.

The teaching medium is Turkish. The School offers education and training to prepare students for professional career, as a "middle-man" in large establishments and "engineering technician" in SME's. The students graduating from vocational and technical secondary education institutions may be placed without the Student Selection Examination ( ÖSS) in the Vocational schools primarly within their vocational and technical education area or those outside in which ongoing or the most similar programs are applied upon their own will. At least %10 of the students graduating by attending Vocational Schools without ÖSS are  provided with vertical transfer to the undergraduate programs in their fiels depending on the quotas.
