LIBRARY SERVICES

Our library, which supports our university’s instructional, educational, and research programmes, has been providing service in its building covering an area of 10.000 m2 since 1999. Our library has a capacity for  830 readers. The archive of our university according to the numbers obtained at the end of the year 2000 is as follows :

• Number of books: 64604

• Number of theses: 4053

• Number of journals subscribed: 492

• Number of newspapers: 10

On completing transfering and uniting facilities of faculty libraries to the central library, there will totally be a collection of 65.000 volumes. As a part of our aim of constructing our library's automatian system, KYBELE package programme has been bought and data is being loaded since then. Our library consists of 4 storeys and 5 halls.

Database of scientific publications, which collects all academicians’ scientific publications, according to national and international standards has been formed and it is still in progress.
