TECHNICAL SCIENCES VOCATIONAL STUDENTS BRING LIFE TO 18 NEW BRANDS

Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) Technical Sciences Vocational School Design Department Graphic Design Program students created their own brands within the scope of Graduation Project course.

Supported by Director of Technical Sciences Vocational School and Head of Design Department Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karahan, Within the scope of the projects , 18 new brands, which have been implemented in a wide range from ready-made clothing to food, from accessories to baby clothing, are preparing to be launched in the national and international markets. Within the scope of "graduation project" conducted by instructor PhD Erhan Mutlugün, students who have realized important projects by benefiting from the knowledge, practice and experience they gained in their two-year education, will experience the "Brand Production and Management" process in the projects they carry out, and will start the sector one step ahead with the brands they have developed.

Students started their studies by first choosing a product. With the suggestions of Technical Sciences Vocational School Director and Head of Design Department Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karahan,the projects were held within the framework of the 2021 "Year of Yunus Emre, Hacı Bektaşi Veli and Ahi Evran" declared by UNESCO, adhering to the themes of brotherhood, unity, peace, love and tolerance. In the context of these themes, the name of the product, logo and packaging design, commercials, billboard and magazine advertisements, brochure designs, commercials, radio advertisements, the process of establishing a website and virtual store, social responsibility projects, promotional productions, a teamwork and advertising agency logic were all included. The students also shot all the photographs they used in the designs of the "Corporate Identity and Brand Creation" process, taking into account all the dynamics of advertising photography.
